BRING PLEASURE BACK INTO YOUR LIFE
I recently became aware I was negligent in spending time with myself…I personally don’t like the idea of having to “schedule” time for pleasure and passion, that takes the fun out of it. I had become disconnected from my body and its desire to receive joy. If you have to schedule time for sex, passion, fun, or making love with yourself or your partner, it might be time to start living a more turned-on life!
My natural tendency is to push myself hard and fast until I can’t go anymore. Ever heard of the energizer bunny but with blonde hair? That would be me until the batteries run out of juice (no pun intended). In my personal life, it has taken a conscious effort to allow myself to slow down, bring myself back into my body, and connect to my own pleasure source. It is very rewarding to put my pleasure first, so I keep making that effort, even when I’m tired, stressed, and feeling the furthest I could possibly feel from sexy.
I WANT TO INVITE YOU TO GET A TASTE OF WHAT LIFE IS LIKE ON THE OTHER SIDE, BECAUSE I KNOW THAT ONCE YOU DO, YOU’LL NEVER LET YOURSELF GO BACK.
This is what I want for you:
To learn how to confidently prioritize your relationship with your body and your sexuality.
To discover what brings you pleasure, and to feel confident telling a current or future partner what you need.
To experience passion, lust and joy within your own skin.
To know that you are always worth it.
The majority of women feel at least somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of masturbating. Our society isn’t very accepting of female masturbation, so most women feel a mixture of guilt, shame, embarrassment, and anxiety at the mere suggestion they start exploring their own bodies.
When you first experiment with re-connecting with your body, start by exploring what feels good. Try not to put any pressure on yourself to orgasm. Too many of us are goal-oriented about climaxing, which can suck all of the fun out of self-discovery. Think of what you’re doing as trying to learn what kind of stimulation feels good for you, rather than trying to learn the quickest possible route to pleasure.
One of my favorite ways to relax and connect with my entire body is to fill the bathtub with hot water, add a few drops of lavender oil, dim the lights and light a few candles as I slowly slip into nirvana as my body slides under the bubbly paradise. There is something to be said for taking time out to indulge yourself in a sensual, relaxing bubble bath. You can’t help but feel a little more relaxed and just a little sexier than before.
